UK customs opening all parcels from USA and China

i think its about time, juices from the states under priced, goods from China falsely priced.
i pay 36.5% vat/duty on my juices so should everyone else who imports from outside the EU.
spoke with UK customs today as they held back 1 of my deliveries for checking, they are checking everything 3 to 4 days delay.

I think its bullshit as bullshit as the 'i must pay so you all must pay too' attitude lol. If this was true it might also have a negative impact on the small amount of UK vendors who do try to offer the best prices possible, like puff palace and myepack to name just 2, thats nothing to be happy about. One things for sure it wouldn't 'force' me into buying overpriced goods.

Just had a few China parcels pass through customs no problem anyway, doubt this would/could even happen.

They don't have the resources to hold back and check everything, the difference is the USA suppliers don't tend to mark values down so we get hit quite often.
China will put on the package whatever you ask them too.

I been on the phone with them today, they are checking all US and China packages for incorrect vat/duty declarations, i only know this cos they have 1 of my held.
re the i pay everyone should pay hows it fair on UK companies who are legit trying to compete with greedy sellers dodging the tax.
being a new start-up is hard enough and the fact that 36.5% of you costs is dead money if not VAT registered makes it even harder to earn a crust.

Words fail me. I got screwed by the tax man, everyone should get screwed by the taxman therefor the world is better for it? Because everyone paying more coupled with everything being delayed by a week or two improves things for the end users how exactly?

i never got screwed all my parcels have correct e-lquid custom codes and declared as e-liquids
i have been legit from day 1
