Upgrade my squonk kit

As you can tell I'm a huge fan of DNA, I was the same as you until I tried one, then it was like "oh! now I get it" it really shines in Temp Control which again I didn't understand at the time, but it really is VERY simple to use and more importantly after you've set your desired temp & watts (no big mystery, just guess and adjust) welcome to NO DRY HITS TOWN.

Seriously, no dry hits, you can vape away even if you forget to squonk you won't get a dry hit, Temp Control simply lowers the power as it detects the temp of the coil, less juice makes the coil burn hotter which is where dry hits start, TC prevents the coil from this happening by automatically decreasing the power until the next squonk.

Sounds a little complicated but it really isn't, the Niagara doesn't offer this feature as it's wattage only, the Topside has a great TC performance but the Drone DNA has so much more to offer, lots of features and I love the way you can easily update your screen:

I'm going to end up going full circle here and quite interested in the Nikola Niagara after watching a few reviews. If what I want is an easy to carry, dual 18650 squonker and generally use wattage mode only it seems to fit the bill.

Are there any downsides to the Niagara? I know it's a heavy mod, but it's more the size than weight that's an issue.

It's a shame as the drone does look really good, as does the topside dual. Just very hefty mods more for leaving on my coffee table which may be a future purchase.

Any recommendations on RDAs to suit the Niagara?

The Niagara is a great mod and for the price it's not going to be a regret purchase, the battery life is amazing.

I have ended up using mine with the Wotofo Profile Mesh RDA but the Ijoy SQUONK RDTA (not the SRDA) is my favourite setup, shedloads of flavour and consistent wicking.

The Drone DNA250C is lighter than the original Drone but is the size of a 3 cell mod. Not a carry round mod although I do use a mod bag if out & about.

I use the profile RDA with nexmesh mesh on mine, great RDA very easy to wick with good flavour

Profile is 24mm diameter so fits nicely on there may get a 25mm on there but not much more than that I dont think

The RDA that comes with the Niagara is supposed to be shit, I got mod only when I bought it

Top fire button also gets a little getting used to but great mod, 6ml capacity on the bottle but I just got a squonk refill bottle that screws in to the 510 connection so you can refill without taking the squonk bottle out

Got a 50ml vandy vape bottle from sr vapes good site, I'd of probably gone with the 30ml now but great if you put nearly a full shortfill in there, I've got another couple on the way from China for cheaper but wanted one quick, also Google how to use it as 1st time I used it managed to dump a load of juice everywhere, essentially you connect it to the 510 then turn mod upside down and squeeze squonk bottle then turn it back the right way round and squeeze refill bottle till your squonk bottle expands to it's normal size, may take a couple of goes to fill it full but watch a video on YouTube

The mesh that comes with the profile is fine just lower wattage around 45-65w 0.18ohm and works well I ran them at 50-55w, I got the nexmesh for my profile unity's but then put them in the profiles and they are 60-70w 0.13 ohm

You get 2 pieces of mesh with the profile and 1 piece of cotton

Aliexpress is the best place to get one but they only have the kits with RDA but still a bargain price.

The RDA is absolutely fantastic............ for throwing through windows, just bin it, trust me it leaks like a prostitute after a 12 hour shift.

You should get a joining discount which makes it even cheaper, PM me regarding shipping instructions before you buy though.

As for the Profile, it's not as good as the Ijoy for flavour and performance, it is also a very thirsty RDA the supplied cotton and mesh is good, I tried the Nexmesh mesh and didn't notice much difference.

I noticed a minor improvement with the nexmesh in a side by side test. Someone on he recommended using 3 pieces of firebolt cotton together over the Wotofo cotton and that’s been a bit of a revelation for me, highly recommend it. Having said that the Wotofo cotton is not bad.

Car in the garage ended up costing me more than I expected, so splashing out on a load of squonk gear will have to wait for now.

My mate however did have an aegis legend he said was too big of a mod for him so a nice little win for me. I actually quite like it.

Just debating whether to get a new RDA now, that will look good on top of the aegis legend.
