I've said this before but I generally go to the shop that got me started in vaping in the first place as they have a really good knowledge base up to general sub ohm and basic temp control vaping. They know exactly which of the juices they sell match the kit they sell and have a really good selection of reliable gear.
You don't get pressured to step above your comfort zone either.
I recently went in to pick up an old favourite higher vg juice and there was a new member of staff. They took the time to ask what tank I'd be using the juice in, not out of swagger but to be sure I wasn't attempting to use it in a simple clearomiser. They where also taking a huge amount of time to explain how a basic aspire ce 4 kit worked and what juice ranges would be perfect to match it. Really nice to see.
The other shop I'd been in was the largest independent and they'd been really good in the past but this time a member of staff that I know has been at the shop years offered to set up a tank for me to try a particular 50/50 juice. I said that would be great and they then proceeded to put a little 1.8 ohm bvc coil into one of the aspire k series tanks (no problem, so far). She then plonked it on a coolfire 4 plus (70w) and filled the tank. Instantly set the wattage to 25w and fired the mod, passed it to me and said, see what you think.
I obviously said, I know what I'll think. I'll think it tastes of burnt cotton. You gave the wick all of two seconds to soak before firing a little coil aimed at a ten watt vape at (then pointed to the screen) 25w.
She just said "no I didn't" lol. I walked out to the sound of the shoo owner bollocking her behind me. This is why I went to the aforementioned shop.
