Hehe, remember that the majority of Americans who voted - didn't vote for Trump. He won the most key states or whatever crazy system they use over there, I'll not pretend to understand US politics any more than I understand politics here lol. The Americans who didn't vote for Trump - the majority lol - are spitting mad

I thought overall they captured the spirit of PotV pretty close, smartarse, sarky, informationally intimidating at times for newbies but genuinely willing to help and very rewarding if said newbie sticks around and reads rather than asking about their new tank and then just sodding off. If I was to read their review I'd wanna try PotV first as my forum of choice - answers from folk in the know is what I want from a forum, without getting my virtual hide ripped off and rolled in salt just coz I inadvertently asked the same question that Chip from Oklahoma did 18 weeks earlier - prolly filed in a neatly resolved and over moderated thread that could have been quickly found by judicious use of the search engine no less

I agree .... I don't really see that encourages conversation and that's what forums live or die on.

I've said this before but I do feel that POTV is like being in a pub with a group of people nattering away ... questions don't so much get answered but debated and ideas thrown around, some piss taking and a few people in the group going off on related tangents. The person who asked the question is encouraged to join in, give further information, pull up a seat and grab a beer.

It's not like going up to an information desk and asking a question. ..... thankfully.

I think we are more independent and more diverse in our opinions.

Where a question about the best RBA might get 6 different options on ECF it will get 20 here.

This results in not only scaring away the op, but returning contributors don't bother following up, which is why so many threads tail off with the question unresolved.

And I'm quite pleased that Trump has put the first nail in the coffin of the great climate change swindle.
