Vaporshark Test Every E-Liquid They Stock – Dr F Says They Are “Severely Problematic”

Can anyone hazard a guess as to Vaporshark's objectives here? Bearing in mind that it will have cost them and might cost them even more yet ...

I couldn't say but I know that had the shoe been on my foot and the results came back with such huge levels I would have felt compelled to have had them verified by a different lab - at least for a few of them as clarity.

I would hazard the guess that it's a show of how "Safe" they are and how they try to be better and safer than anyone else and have the Vaper's interests at heart. It also appears that Laboratory Director (Gene Gillman) of Enthalpy is involved as a "Chemistry consultant" for AEMSA the self styled "American Eliquid Manufacturers Standards Association". Admittedly they Have Dr Farsalinos as Medical consultant too, as well as Kurt Kistler Phd from Penn State University. But they would not be involved in day to day operations. It seems rather a conflict of interest to have an Employee of a testing lab as one of their consultants when they already have Kurt Kistler on the books...

Read this & it had me worried.

Just checked onepoundeliquid.com & their website states explicitly this:

We don't use ANY flavoring that contain Diacetyl, Acetyl Propionyl or Acetoin.

It also states elsewhere that they never add any of those things to their liquids at any stage.

Fairly reassuring.

Thanks for that. I've just bought 4 off them to try

Whilst it may be a good thing to err on the side of caution the testing and analysing what an e-liquid contains is one thing. The crunch, for me, will come from definitive testing and results that show exactly what, if any harmful effects these chemicals have had on long term vapers at the quantities accrued via vaping. So far, this has not been achieved. Until this happens "this contains diacetyl" means bugger all to me, I want to know what it's doing to me. I just don't care what they contain, but I do, slightly ( :D ) care about what effects they are having on me, good, bad, or otherwise.

Am I the only one to have great concern about the clear conflicts going on with this? Pretty sure it was Enthalpy that claimed Suicide Bunny was like a smorgasbord of DA and AP in complete conflict with Suicide Bunny's own lab test results...

And the same thing repeats again... and I wonder how many of the manufacturers who are NOT members of AEMSA are the ones that have been shown to be high in DA / AP by these tests.....

An attempt to self regulate by VS..me thinks, which has not worked, raised more questions than answers..which might not be a bad thing in the long run.
