Veritas alternatives on a budget?

Hi guys

I don't want this to be a clone versus authentic thread so I'll be clear from the start that I'm not looking for a clone here, thanks in advance.

I'm wanting to buy my first authentic RDA but my budget is so low it is making it very hard. It's even harder because I've fallen head over heels in love with a Veritas clone that was a gift and hasn't been put down since I got it.

I've looked at the most commonly recommended budget authentics but need someone who has tried both to tell me which is closest to a 0.9ish vertical single coil build on a Veritas - deep juice wells and fairly leak safe to a sensible degree. Warm but not scorching and full of flavour? I looked at the Freakshow but the height makes me suspect it's a cool vape and people have reported it leaking like a you know what and not holding much liquid (that part isn't a major problem but the leaking is). The Troll had better flavour than I expected but not to the same level as the Veritas and was a bit airy for my preference.

Ashamed to say that I'd prefer something under £20, £30 would be my absolute limit and even then it would have to be groundbreaking good to justify that. This isn't an ad, I don't even have the budget to do this yet but I'd really appreciate any pointers. I also appreciate that I'm probably looking for something that doesn't exist in my price range, but still figured it was worth asking.

Thanks in advance

Kathy

I'd look at the orieco storm which is essentially a rebadged origen v2 in ur budget, technically an original and a damn tasty atty

If you love the veritas clone you have then why not just keep using that and forget about buying an authentic for now. Maybe I'm reading your post wrong but it sounds to me like you want to own an authentic just because its authentic? But it probably won't be as good as the veritas for you because it sounds like you already have an rda your realy enjoying?

I also love my Veritas. The authentic is a crazy £90 though so I sympathise.

I also enjoy the Freakshow (yep, a bit leaky with the coils directly over the airholes) and the Troll (agreed, too airy for flavour).

I'm absolutely loving the Venturi at the moment. It doesn't leak ... at all ... the draw is airy, adjustable and the small chamber produces superb flavour - better than Veritas, Troll and Freakshow. The 3-post deck is easy to build on. You can drip easily after removing your drip tip.

The authentic is £90 from Cloud9Vaping but the clone is well within your budget. The FT clone that I have is superb, excellent build quality, hard to imagine that the authentic can be better. All the spares and choice of 3 top caps for £11? Get in there!

I swear I saw one UK vendor selling the clone for £15-20 but I can't find it now.

Was also going to mention there is a freakshow mini due out soon...

Only other authentic under £30 that might fit your quest for flavour that I can think is the Cigreen holmes RDA which I've seen from M Vapes for £22 I think.

Just to clarify I don't have one nor have I seen a 'proper' review of this but the design features under coil airflow that is generally good for flavour (like the magma or freakshow) and I have seen a couple posts elsewhere saying it's a good RDA. Worth a look anyway.

The only good reason to buy an atty is because you really want it. Not because it's an original or clone. There's plenty of choice in 22mm stuff nowadays so you should be able to check out some video reviews to help you decide.
£20 - £30 is not really in the ball park as an expected amount to shed out on a decent atty imo unless you go the clone route, in which case, there have been suggestions here from people who have tried them. Go with your gut.
