Maybe you have better dexterity than I or maybe it's an awkward design but I've recoiled the Veritas 4 or 5 times averaging 10 minutes a time. It's not a case of 30 seconds vs 15 seconds, more like 5 seconds vs 10 minutes (in my case at least).
I've seen videos where people coil the device as intended by the designer, it's a dual coil setup but the coils come out pretty rough. That can be done in a couple of minutes.
Maybe I haven't coiled it enough times to get a technique down but in my experience it's all too easy to accidentally grab both top nuts or otherwise somehow snag your coil and pull it apart. Sometimes you think it's tight but it's not, there's a myriad of things that can go wrong with that top section and IMHO that makes it a bad design.
You're right you don't need to recoil often but that doesn't mean it shouldn't be a simple and straight forward process. Even an extended (8-10mm) nut would allow the user to finger tighten the top nut and avoid the pliers headache. A custom butterfly type nut would also help but as it is I find it a fiddly little shit so I avoid using it.
For some reason mine also leaks via vapour condensation that runs down the internal walls and out the device, at that's where I think the leak's coming from.
For all those reasons I would have a hard time recommending this atty to anyone and I hope they address the issues in the v2, until then I reckon the Marquis is worth a punt.
As my preface states though, I could just be a cack handed mofo, YMMV.
Something like this would make life a lot easier, there's other options at the bottom (although none are the right size). Not sure why something simliar isn't fitted as standard.
