Was I just unlucky?

Hi all, about 5 weeks ago I took delivery of a picosqueeze and hadaly from fasttech after reading good things about them here. I really enjoyed them and a week later bought a vv pulse to try out and again really enjoyed the experience. I always had a suspicion the pico was'nt squonking quite right because I could feel air getting sucked in when squeezing the bottle. Anyway, about a week ago while away on holiday the device stopped working properly. It would fire up ok for a couple of pulls then shut off. I tried removing the battery and switching between the hadaly and the pulse but both were the same. After a couple of addy swaps it then began firing constantly without the button being pressed. I quickly removed the battery to avoid a meltdown. When I got back from holiday I took the thing apart and found quite a bit of juice all over the circuit board which I guess had found it's way into the firing switch thus causing the problem.
My question is, was I just unlucky? I really really liked the performance, size, flavour and convenience of the pico but even paying about £15 I cant be buying a new one every month if they are all going to fail on me. I have looked for an alternative mod but it does not seem to exist. The odd place has a wraith at stupid prices or the alternative is a brick like the 160 or drone. Every other mod I see mentioned has been discontinued and I can't buy anywhere or is a stupid price (I would be happy to pay up to about 100) Someone please tell me I was just unlucky and should buy another squeeze.

I've been bashing a squeeze around on building sites for a couple of months now with no problems and another in the house for same time with no problems and the amount of people here who recommend them and use them I would say you were unlucky.

Even the best/most expensive mods get 1 or 2 slipping past QC sometimes!

You were unlucky, sorry to say.
I've been using a squeeze for months with no issues, and there's a lot of love for them in the squonk community.
As much as it might sting, I'd say buy another, the chance of getting two moody ones in a row is slim.

OK, heading to fasttech now, thanks for the feedback.

Just a quick note that I was told by someone, me being new to squonking.
The advise to me was to be aware of where the air holes on the atty are. Preferably not directly over the button, in case of over squonking or leakage when tilted.

When i'm not using mine i turn the air holes to nearly closed plus one other thing is when you squeeze the bottle you will hear air when you release sometimes...plus always make sure the bottle is pushed up properly, i got a few new bottles here if you need one?

Thank you for the offer, this has to be the friendliest forum on the web. I have ordered two squeezes from fasttech so hopefully I will not need any spares for a while. I got a good squelch when releasing, it was when squeezing that i felt something was wrong and air was getting in.
