Washing out needle-nosed bottles?

Sorry, I feel like I'm probably posting too much and annoying people with silly questions. That's not my intention, I promise! I just sort of tend to throw myself into things and I'm really excited about vaping.

Some of the bottles e-juices come in are really rigid and I have a condition that means I can be clumsy or have hand twitches/spams and weakness in my hands, so it's a nightmare to fill a clearomiser without getting goop into that middle tube thingy. So I've been decanting into a needle-nosed bottle, which makes it much easier. I'm not bothered about the bottles not being as well sealed as those with childproof caps, as I assume that just means they'll get a bit of pseudo-steeping time as they go along (I'm vaping less than 10ml a week) and my cat hasn't yet learned how to open drawers, but I wondered if they can be washed and reused without compromising the flavour of the new liquid? I have a pretty sensitive palate, so I'd really want to be confident there was none of the old flavour clinging to the plastic. I know they're only 50p a pop, but a) I'm experimenting with different flavours a lot as a new vaper and b) I just don't like waste.

Okay to wash out without compromising the flavour of the next fluid? Dishwasher safe, possibly? If not, will boiling water damage them?

Thank you in advance, lovely apes.

No such thing as too many questions, that's what we are all here for. Unfortunately I do not know about dishwasher safe or boiling water, -never tried either .
I just give mine a good old wash in a clean bowl with a touch of fairy liquid , rinse thoroughly and leave to dry naturally. Does the trick for me :D

Hi Citrus, I use these bottles a lot as well so I can empathise with you fully. I simply put them in a cup of hot water and leave them for about 10 minutes and then put the cap on and squeeze the water through them so that the nozzle is cleaned as well. I wouldn't use boiling water as some bottles can soften up. If you use a really strong flavoured juice or something with aniseed or citrus (no pun intended) then a good tip is to add a small (very small) amount of Miltons fluid and that will help get rid of just about most flavours. All the best and hope that helps, SB.

Thanks very much, Gonloopy and Soldier Blue! I must say, this seems to be one of the most supportive communities I've ever come across on the web, and I mod a community where we strive very hard to be inclusive and welcoming, so that's high praise. I really appreciate your help!

+1 on the milton fluid, if you use it at the recommended dilution everything will be fine, I'd ay the best way is to fill a decent sized bowl or jug with Milton solution then drop everything in and leave overnight, you can do this with your tanks and driptips as well...

Don't feel like you are annoying anyone with your questions. That's what the forum is here for, to help other vapers.

I rinse my bottles in hot water then soak them overnight in sterilising fluid. It doesn't always get the smell out completely if it is a very strong smelling e-liquid though.

I have read about some people using ultrasonic cleaners? Maybe someone who uses one can give you some advice there as I don't have one myself.

If youre using same bottle over & over again with different flavours how many times can you relabel your bottle?. Wont you forget which flavour & strength you have in it?. Just asking because I may try it too.

Cheers

All you need to do is stick a new label on, label sheets are available everywhere and not expensive.
Also +1 on milton fluid, i have cleaned 3 bottles using it and they are free from any smells!

Guys, Miltons is the stuff you use to sterilise baby bottles, right?

Trotters, you could print out sticky labels? Or stick a blob of different coloured nail varnish on the top of the lid, like green for a mint flavour and gold for a tobacco or whatever, then pick it off when you swap?

Another question. Is there somewhere to buy needle-nosed bottles in bulk at a reduced price? If anyone hasn't noticed I'm kind of...um...let's call it "fastidious".
