Welsh Lib Dems Support for Vaping

Nice reply from Peter Black of the Welsh LibDems. With the Welsh Conservatives, that makes 19 AMs confirmed against a Welsh ban on vaping in public places:

Thanks for this. I raised this issue with the Health Minister the week before last and it was also discussed at the Welsh Liberal Democrats Conference at the beginning of April. My position and that of the party is that it is not appropriate to legislate to change people's behaviour. The smoking ban came about because of significant evidence of the damaging effect on other people's health from second hand smoke. There is no evidence of a similar impact from e-cigarettes and unless such evidence emerges the Welsh Liberal Democrats AMs will be voting against this ban. I hope that helps
