The kayfun is a fine choice.
I would add though, if you're new to coiling you would benefit from getting a cheap dripper to hone your coiling skills on. Having to drain and strip down a Kayfun because your coil/wick isn't quite right will rapidly become tiresome. A couple of days spent coiling and wicking a simple dripper will pay dividends in the long run.
As had been said, having a means of checking your coils for shorts is essential.
