What's new

what caused the surge in new cases?

that is generally the tory attitude. there are a few variations; i should be able to do what i want because i am better than everybody else, the poor are poor because they are stupid, i am not the product of nepotism and inherited wealth and privilege but rather genetically superior, i worked my arse off to drag myself up from the bottom and buy this house in newton mearns that i have fitted with a jacuzzi and hot tub and garish decor and furnishings etc.

but they all amount to much the same thing.

Newton Means AHH my old stomping ground , up the mallet for a few drinks before heading into the city :D

I did slum it though , I didn't go to Belmont school , I went to the Castle ...I mixed with the roughians .

It has risen since the schools went back, plus now the university's are starting up. Lockdowns dont seem to be the answer as soon as you open up, they begin to lockdown again.

After reading the last few pages it seems Mr Fingers wants it to be survival of the fittest. That's all well and good if the shit really hits the fan and nothing else can be done but I don't think it's quite there yet. There's still a bit of wiggle room to try something different. Not sure what that is though.
People just need to have a bit of common sense.
I still work, have done from the start. I go out socializing with 3 mates but only once a week and that's an outside activity. Go to the shops once a week (with mask as that's the law) and that's about it.

I'm not particularly worried if I catch it but I'm not going out to try. No restaurant, no pubs, no cinema etc. Just take sensible precautions where possible.

If the shit does hit the fan then I'm afraid it will actually come to survival of the fittest and who ever has the biggest gun wins.

That's pretty much what I'm doing too, we're limited to meeting 2 mates here, one said the other day just say we're flat mates if anyone asks and 3 of us can meet. Stuff like that bugs me, do see his point though, if we were down south that's fine. I'd very likely be fine if I had it to but not in a rush to catch it and risk passing it on. No need to completely bunker down yet but definitely not the time to out partying with right said fred! :18:
