What's new

What could we do better?

Did this a little while ago, my dad a keen vaper went around to a load of stores, not much response or uptake when said shops get emails every day with a new brand of something for £1 per 100ml

Are you accessible, can folks walk in? if so mail shots.....if not mail shots n delivery, don't think I have ever had a mail shot through the door for vape.

Wasn't the idea of a centralised potv liquid vendors website already tried a few years back, it was called the Drip Store/ Drip Shop or something similar :hmm:

I'd be up for purchasing concentrates, esp. tobacco and perhaps custards, but like @Simon G the apparent industry standard of mix at 20% pisses me off. In terms of commercial liquids the obsession with overloading sweetener into a blend simply stops me buying or trying juices.

It was called the mix shop @ZT was the main man I think....damn handy it was used it every now n then,,,,trouble was it was more expensive than going to each individuals website using discount codes/offers....so food for thought.

It’s just shit in general now sam, we’ve pretty much changed our whole business model from manufacturer that sells a bit of hardware to full on vape shop that sells a bit of our own stuff.

If you know anyone that owns a vape shop, spend a day in there and I promise you it will open your eyes and probably shock you. The DIY, shortfill, RTA type of side of the industry is near on non existent compared to the MTL pods and nic salts etc. Most people don’t even know what a shortfill is. Probably 70% of our sales are now nic salts, coils and pod kits. Vaping is so mainstream now people almost expect it to be simple and easy, I would say the vast majority couldn’t be fucked to put a nic shot in a bottle these days or even listen to you try and explain to them why and what that’s all about.

May be different for other vendors but there is absolutely zero chance we’d survive just selling our own liquids these days. Like some of the other members have said most people just want strawberry ice, banana, raspberry or whatever.

There is nothing more mind numbing than spending 6 months developing an awesome short fill recipe, label design and manufacturing them all to finally get them all listed on the website and market them, watching the website with great anticipation only to spend the rest of the week packing 5 million mass produced shitty plain strawberry nic salts lol.

It would be great if people still searched for those unique niche flavours, I’m down for a collab flavour if you fancied it :)

One thing that I've noticed with UK vendors is that their shortfills contain 50ml of liquid. This can make it difficult for people to make them up to 6mg unless they have access to 72 nic.
Over here in Europe, most shortfills contain only 40ml of (a stronger) liquid allowing the end user to make it up to 6mg using 2 regular nic shots without diluting the taste.
Might be something worth looking into?

Toby was the main man - we did logistics :)

^ this part really hit home

Got some fantastic suggestions from the thread so far. I know what you are saying about the market, and the type of end-user now 'on mass' and I don't even think that if we catered for this it would make much difference, we still would not be in front of customers. Lots and lots to do I guess
