What Did You Do Next?

If you think you want to replicate the ciggie experience, stick to mtl.

Dtl will do nothing for you... it is a COMPLETELY different style of vaping.

I don't mtl myself but peeps seem to rate the aspire and jac vapour very highly.

On the other hand, maybe dtl is the thing you never knew you wanted!!! (Completly different to smoking a fag tho...)

@kris73 Have to agree with this, I did feel it was completely different and definitely did nothing for me, sticking to MTL for the foreseeable future.

Houston, we have a problem. :(

I now have a back up Vape ( The Blu Pro ) which albeit is atrocious ( In my opinion ) but it's better than nothing, but I have since had a cigarette, and my lord they are truly disgusting when you haven't had one in 2 weeks, I will endeavour to make this packet last until my replacement tank and coils arrive, and use the Blu Pro in between.

Very frustrating last 24 hours and I am very angry with myself, I have taken all on board that all of you have said though, and will hopefully never be in this position again, I will add tanks/coils as spares and ensure I am never without again.

What you did was effectively go back a little bit on the Blu Pro
I used mine for 2 years say and did the job but they was revising the range (again)
and changing stuff - they already changed the thread/battery around September 2017 (was ego compatible but then bespoke)
think they was phasing out the Blu Pro stick pen for more of a pod AIO system so had to look for alternatives - so upgraded to mod/tank
But the Blu was a very basic (but effective) vape kit, so you kinda went backwards a little

I would have suggested - well think I did, a Zenith/Zlide either a coolfire mini kit for about £35~£39 on amazon maybe
or buy the tank for £15~£20.....
https://www.lepetitvapoteur.com/en/...by=position&orderway=desc&search_query=zenith
(reg first and coil price should drop from 1:79 to 1:49)

& a cheap nasty mod....
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/iJoy-Diamond-VPC-Kit-/263996012226?var=&hash=item8334681d31
or
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/iJoy-Dia...hash=item3d8cf8cfdf:m:mpL5P53aXkPijR_IustezDg
(kit is absolutely shit, throw everything but keep 1400mah 45w mod - was a few auctions going for a tenner)

But time you buy tank & maybe another mod - well maybe the coolfire mini d22 zenith for say £35 is better option

stick in say 0.8 ohn coil, set it at say 14w - job done

BUT - you bought the Blu, probably some AIO thingy, and now another tank n coils so no worries
see how you go

but IF you get the urge to start buying shiny stuff I would strongly recommend the Zenith or Zlide for MTL people
(simply is one of the best or in the top 3 MTL stock coil tanks - idiot proof (I can use it so must be fool proof))

mods - well there's loads of options, buy a kit is probably best, but if not a decent cheapo variable watt/volt mod will do
(if you need a better battery/mod, then upgrade at some point)

for what little it's worth here's my crap I'm using
Zenith (stock coils) & Hastur (RTA) mostly, now & then Ehpro True but mostly Zenith/Hastur

Is there a thread on the forum that simplifies and shows what the likes of RDA, TPD, RTA, RDTA etc.... all means and stands for?

@Fuctifino That's quite a collection, do you use all of them, most of them, some of them?

That's quite easily explained. Right now you use stock coils, which are easily swapped out.

Contrary to that, all the atomisers which start with R are Rebuildables, meaning that you need wire and cotton and some basic tools to make a coil and wick yourself. It's a bit tedious in the beginning, but once you get the hang of it, you'll be rewarded with usually much better flavour, more flexibility, and much lower costs. (You can get a whole year's supply in cotton for a few quid, if you want to)
Incidentally, the ritual of doing these things and cluing up on and experimenting with what's out there kept my mind off of the fags quite successfully from my 2nd week of vaping onwards.

The T stands for Tank, which is essentially means you fill it up (~2ml or less within TPD, I'll get to that), vape it empty, refill it etc.

The D on the other hand stands for Dripping. You drip a few drops of eliquid directly on the (rebuildable) coil and generally have to do that pretty often. (Or you can use squonking or bottom feeding to squeeze liquid on the deck from below)

The RDTA is a special case (rebuildable dripping tank atomiser). While most tanks have the coil at the bottom and the liquid around and above the deck, the RDTA has the deck on top and the wicks hanging down into a big reservoir or tank. They are relatively uncommon in comparison. (The Vapefly Galaxies RDTA is a very good and affordable one, though.)

The TPD is European legislation to regulate Tobacco (and related) products. Somehow vaping ended up in there, and the most annoying rules it sets out are that tanks sold in the EU cannot be bigger than 2ml (there are exceptions in some countries though, France for example), and eliquid which contains nicotine must not come in bottles bigger than 10ml with a maximum of 20mg nicotine. For this there are exceptions only applicable to businesses, not consumers, who are allowed to buy 72mg nicotine. (This is simplified; there's a lot more to it.)

Houston, we have a problem. :(

So I tried to fit the DTL coil yesterday after becoming what I thought was " Immune " to the MTL coil, fired it up after doing the usual preparation and I have to say, I did not enjoy it, not one bit, couldn't do it, and in my attempt to to fit my last remaining MTL coil back in, I completely fuc*ed it it up and ruined the tank, had to bin it. So in an emergency, as OldHippyDude's advice would have came in handy here, I went to my nearest local shop and bought a replacement/backup Vape, a Blu Pro, and in all honesty, thought it absolutely sucked, did absolutely nothing for me, so went to the shop this morning and bought a pack of ciggies :(:(:( Before that though, I went online to Joytech's website and bought a replacement tank and spare coils, they will be here on Tuesday I reckon.

Moral of the story is, I was quite happy with MTL it would seem, it was just the Coil that needed replaced as that one had ran its race.

Don't beat yourself up over it, just learn something from it and move on. We are all here to support you. Just do what you need to do for now

@Fuctifino That's quite a collection, do you use all of them, most of them, some of them?

That's nothing tbh - many us have 2 or 3 or 4+ times that amount
(I'm not telling, but that is a small selection of what I use, take a couple to work, lying around house in use)

Left to right

Cthulhu Hastur 3.5ml RTA on Innokin Kroma 75w mod (2000mah)

Ehpro True RTA on iLeaf mini mod (variable voltage 10w mod)

Ehpro True RTA on ijoy 1400mah 45w mod

rest are mainly Zenith tanks with 1 other Hastur
first silver Zenith is 2ml - small glass window
rest of Zenith's are 4ml

I often have a Zenith in my bag for work & say the Hastur, a 10ml bottle in pocket - taken to work
really just one will do but always carry a spare in case one breaks or loses charge

All 3 tanks vape very slightly differently - but not that differently in the long run
one might be a tiny bit drier/moister one a smidge tighter/looser draw but could vape either one all day/week/month
all filled with my own DIY juice, one might have splosh of extra flavour but usually all the same
(I'm not a flavour connoisseur - but others have a few flavours to switch around a bit but I'm OK for now)

That is basically what stuff I have knocking around to hand - well some of it
but that is a general batch, I get fucked off when I leave one in car/upstairs
nah fuck it I'll just pick up another coz can't be arsed to go looking for it

Most of us have spent a few bob (understatement of year) on numerous stuff - but that stuff works for me
(finally I am sticking with what I got - well for now, but bought a "bit of stuff" that didn't quite hit the mark)
What I showed ya is what I personally find floats my MTL boat - but we are all different
Zenith is a good stock coil tank (honest), Zlide is based upon the Zenith and getting excellent ratings too

The others are good RTA's, the Hastur is big bastard, little bit airy but a real piece of piss to get up & running (really easy)
all 3 are easy top fills that do not ever flood/gurgle when refilling and closing lid - they work very well
The True can be a tiny tiny bit picky at first until you suss it, great titchy stealthy tank - 2nd left setup is tiny little setup

We may disagree on a lot, but not when it comes to tanks. :)

@Fuctifino See the Zenith, is that a simple Fill the tank and vape, or is it more technical? For example, is it the same set up as the Joytech Exceed D19 I am using? An All In One is the way I have seen the Exceed described.

Would appreciate some more recommendations from all, for the best MTL All In One Vape that they have used personally, going to research them all. I quite like the sound and look of that Inokkin Plex ( May have spelled that incorrectly ) but not sure, even after reading it, if it's an AIO.

I am not ready to build my own Vapes folks, and definitely going to stick with MTL instead of DL.

Thanks @lucifah Appreciate the time you have taken to explain that, thank you.

The Exceed D19 is not technically an AIO - it has a tank that unscrews from the battery. Two separate parts. Don’t worry about all the acronyms, you don’t need to know any of that to get vaping, you just want something with stock coils, I.e, that doesn’t involve mini screwdrivers and cotton pads. Go for either either the Coolfire mini (mod) with the Zlide (tank) or the Kroma-A (mod) and Zenith (tank) kits. Both use the same coils.

Mod - battery part/power supply
