When does the shinyitis stop!!

What is the exact definition of shinyitis? I think I have it, but I'm only a one week old vapa with some good beginners kit, but I keep browsing all the threads here with all the shinys and I know where my money is going in the new year I just get these visions of it all disappearing one morning and I am curtailed before my time!

For me shinyitus doesn't stop it just gets put on hold when I run out of money/finance or organs to sell

There is a cure for Shineyitis, but i cannot back up what i am about to say with facts, figures or scientific studies.............

Do not look on websites selling goodies;
Do not look at the photos added by forum members;
Do not look at the for sale /swap / give away or anything in the classified sections;

be happy with what you have (ego / kanger or snazzy / expensive kit / mods);
be grateful you are no longer smoking;
enjoy having money in your pocket, even if it was a quid because even that stays in your pocket longer now than when you were smoking;

now im off to look at mixing kits, damn there is no cure
