What's new

Why are my 0.15 Ohm coils showing 0.24 Ohms on mod?

I have a Vaporesso Revenger. I have been vaping on this particular coil for about two weeks. Last night to this morning, the ohms kept increasing with more vapes.

Also, when I pressed the fire button to vape, it sometimes prompted me with "Old Load/New Load."

I was reading this thread and I was thinking that I should change out the coil. I was just about to when I noticed the tank wasn't screwed in enough to make contact with the battery properly. It now vapes at 0.16Π on a 0.15Π coil, which is normal for these Vaporesso two hole GT Cores coils.

So, before you spend more to get new coils or change out a coil that should be ok, check the tank/battery connection to make sure it is tight, making a proper connection for the proper fire.

I hope this helps!

I've got 1.7 Kanthal coils in my Zenith tank, on a Aspire Typhon mod..and that's currently showing 1.88 ohms. Neither the mod or the tank is very old, been using the mod for 6 weeks and the tank for over 4 weeks, but the coil is still the 1st one I've used in it...so could just be getting close to burning out soon. I haven't used the temp function on my mods yet though (not really necessary with MTL tanks) but I don't have the wattage set up very high, about 12 watts..so i'm not worried about it. They're never that accurate.
