Wick and wire for eVod

I thought I'd give it a go rebuilding my eVod to save on money.

I have no idea what size wick and wire to get. I have looked on the marketplace and there are several to choose from, could someone point me in the right direction to what I need please? Similar to what is supplied or maybe thicker wick would be better?

Once I have made one up would testing the resistance range on my iTaste mini be sufficient before use? I'm geussing about 5 coils looking at the ones that they come with.

I rebuild mine with 3mm wick and 5 wraps of 0.2 kanthal and a couple of strands stripped of the wick for on top, they always turn out at 1.9ohms

Had a couple of attempts and they look pretty good. However I only have the iTaste to test what voltage I can use. 3.3-3.7. Pretty poor taste although it's there. I usually use 3.8. Should I add more or less? Plenty of vapour just not enough taste.

I use the same setup, 3mm wick with .20 kanthal but I don't put a wick on top of the coil I found this improved the flavour and have not had any issues with leaks etc...

Cheers. I will try without the extra on top. Actually now it's bedded in it's got slightly better. Just want to be able to up the voltage without it going bang.

Just tried with two strands on top and it's a lot better even at 3.6. My head now hurts from testing it too much lol.
