What's new

Your first ever kit

I had tried cigalikes previously but they were shit, then a mate took me to a Totally Wicked retailer and I got an ego battery, ce4 and 40ml of liquid - cost me nearly 50 quid! Got me off the fags though and 3 weeks later I bought a Vamo v5 and protank 2 (might have been a 3?) so I passed the TW kit on to my Dad and it got him off the smokos as well! My only upgrade after that was a 5ml Aspire Nautilus and I used that for a year before getting in to rebuildables.

I started vaping just before xmas and as a total noob to the hobby i started with this, the Kanger EMOW 'Mega'.

About three weeks later (last week) As a seasoned pro, I moved into the seedy sub Ohm world with this, The Crown IV.

I swore this wasn't going to be a hobby but now i am looking for a nice storage solution to house all the shit i am buying. I must have thirty bottles of juice, spare everythings, and still waiting for more stuff to be delivered..

Lol, I can see myself following your lead here! It's kind of addictive looking at new stuff!!

Myself and Mrs kid really fell on our feet. One of the first vape shops in Swindon was called smokers angel (later to become ecigarette direct with the "Halo" logo).
The guy's there started out in 2008 and although most of the kits where basic in design, They really focused on Quality and compatibility.
The pens were ego and ce 4 designs (like most market and petrol station pens) but the difference was they where made by the little known Aspire.
All juice was designed or chosen specifically to work in the ce 4. They had a Chinese liquid range which was made by hangsen and a British liquid that they had designed. They where very good too with nic levels up to 36mg.
The staff where also passionate and knowledgeable.
The Halo brand liquid they sell is still very good and the starter kits and aftercare is still fantastic. Always great writing and articles on their ashtray blog.
Obviously things have moved on and they stock a larger range of gear and juice but I know they're still pretty good at making sure a product is a "good un" before selling it.
got my first kit from smokers angel in Cheltenham the lad in there was a real help, went in for a basic pen set up and came out with an istick40 a nautilus mini and some 5 pawns queenside......never touched another fag(4yrs in may) which I doubt would have been the case if id got the starter kit........sacked off the nautilus after about a week mind MTL wasnt for me

My first ever kit was a nemesis clone and a stilliare clone rda, that was about 4 years ago and still got the kit somewhere...
I know it sounds silly starting off with a mech but it did come with an hours crash course of coil building, ohms law and battery safety when purchasing it...

I’m intrigued by this thread I really am. It appears that some have been vaping far longer than I thought? :)

Yeah they where excellent. Haven't been in for a while but I think we worked out that we found them late 2014 and they'd been going for six year's by then.
We soon ran through the bigger stuff too.
