YouTube Tank Reviews..

Hi,

I'm wanting an upgrade to my Pyro v3 rdta, (using a vaporesso luxe mod) I'd like more flavour and capacity.
I've watched my videos on YouTube reviewing them, but does anyone believe their claims. Most the time the youtuber is sponsored by the company who sent them the tanks. Any thoughts on this guys.

I think most of them try to be as honest as they can and some do a very good job.

The only thing I would say is that most do very limited testing, so sometimes things can get overlooked, that you might only find are an issue after a few weeks of using it.

Flavour is very hard to talk about, it's very dependent on liquid and how you vape.

Always remember that flavour is subjective and for bigger capacity tanks you may need to consider ordering from China.

I'm not sure which reviewers you're watching but if I was to see that they are sponsored by the manufacturer of the tank I'd not watch the review unless it's by one of the reviewers I trust.
I have a number of reviewers I would use for reference and have no regrets of any purchase I've made following a review.
At the moment my most used reviewer is DJLsb.

Youtube is for entertainment, every fucking ego with a camera puts their shit out there
The only person I believe is Emily Maitlis, the only flavour opinion that matters to me is my own
There's no substitute for doing the hard yards yourself

Hi this topic has been discussed before it can be difficult one for new vapers like me, who to trust and what to believe, I've now watched quite a few YT reviews and the main reviewer I have the most faith in is Phil Busardo, along with the great and informative written reviews by members here, all grit to the mill.

The Pyro v3 flippin' rocks, for the capacity problem it can be used as squonker, I think that's why it came as a piddly 2ml plus if it was 5ml it's be huge

YouTube reviews tend to give a good overall impression of the positives of devices but they usually glaze over the negatives and rarely do reviewers put products properly through their paces, I always take them with a pinch of salt. Much better to search this forum/other places for actual first hand experience from people who own the item and have no reason to be dishonest. Usually my first port of call when buying a new product plus the standard Google of 'item name problem' etc.

Do you think? The cotton has to be otherwise major dry hits/no flavour. I assume there must be something better for me

I've only wicked it twice & it's been bang on both times, very dripper like

When it comes to opinions about what to buy I've found I get more reliable recommendations on here from people who use the devices daily and know their ins & outs.

I find YouTube reviews helpful to familiarise myself with devices I haven't seen before and also it's helpful to actually see someone building a deck but I wouldn't base a purchase solely on a YouTube review.
