What's new

24 hours of the Pico Clone.

I should add, @Crewella and I know each other's sense of humour quite well, so don't read too much into my response to her a couple of posts above.;)

He was right, though ..... there was a part of me that would have preferred the chimney to be made of hand-carved mammoth ivory! ;)

@Rob, the deed is done, I'll let you know how it goes when it lands! Thanks. :)

Here, this might help: https://www.planetofthevapes.co.uk/...hreads/goblin-mini-wicking-by-pictures.83329/

Goblin Mini is a bit awkward at first but great when you get it going.

Thanks for that, I'm quite used to building the regular Goblin, I was more disappointed with the flavour on the Mini and I didn't realise there was a tiny o ring on the chimney and I busted it by overtightening, I thought the chimney would have a lip on it but it screws all the way down the barrel. I'll give it another go sometime, I'm used to drippers and they're so simple to coil and wick by comparison, which apart from flavour is exactly why I gave up on rta's, I spent more time building them than vaping them.

Not sure if it is just my taste buds, but with the CLR coils, the lighter sweeter/fruitier flavours really seem to sing, while they can make earthier flavours a bit too intense.

Still not tried the RBA deck but wondering how you guys are supporting it while building?

This sounds good.

It'll be interesting to compare the clr option with the normal build.

Got a dispatch email today so I should have my 2 at some point in the next few......months. Although that's slightly unfair on ft as they have been pretty quick in recent times.

I've tried three different build in mine but I'm still not finding the flavour as good as my 'goto' Taifuns, anyone any ideas or thoughts?
I'm getting almost a hot plastic type hint to the taste, but I'm only running at max14w on a 1.2

Got mine today. Will be building it later this evening once the kids are in bed. So far given it a quick wash and everything seems ok. Screws together fine although the plastic tank seems a bit fragile and I nearly threaded it putting it back together...oops.

Arse. I thought I had ordered one of these and it should have been here by now. But just checked and it's still in my fasttech basket. Never mind...

Stuck a build in it. Not as fiddly as I thought it might be with it not being properly supported whilst building. I guess my coiling skills are better than I thought [emoji106][emoji2].
Stuck the cotton inside just filling the gaps, sort of "a la Ubertoot" and was away.
Managed to fill it quite easily without the need for a needle top bottle.
Could just about direct lung inhale with all three air holes open but it's so much better with just one air hole as a MTL atty. Nice and warm with pretty good flavour.
And I've managed to whack quite a bit of power through it and chain vape a little with no dry hits at all.
No leaks as yet and I've no reason to think there will be. Impressed. Cheers @Rob

Just wanted to add to this. My original Pico order went horribly wrong, but I'm now the proud owner of a clone and am loving it. It being a small tank, and loving coil-clogging sweet tobacco juices as I do, I've been at least rewicking if not rebuilding this daily since I got it - it's had every configuration of cotton wick I could think of in it, and also silica and mesh. Both silica and mesh gave it a tendency to flood, in my hands anyway (could easily be user error), but it has behaved impeccably with cotton. I also discovered that you need to screw the chamber down really, really tight as I was getting wandering ohms readings at first - just a matter of getting used to it. My only real gripe has been that I found it hard to use the last bit of juice in the tank, but wicking with a thin tail of cotton coming off the top of the wick and trailing a little down the outside of the chamber has helped that no end.

I've been using it with just a single air hole, which is perfect for me. I really, really like this little tank. Thank you @Rob. Again.
