A splurge of inspiration - Squonk mod

Beautiful work mate. I love the button placement. Actually surprisingly comfy and the added benefit of a safe button is well worth it. Lovely.
Maybe a vv pent on the next one.

Thank you buddy.
I'm honestly liking the button placement, like you said surprisingly comfy, doesn't feel weird at all.
Never thought of it as a safe button, if I ever decide to sell any, thats what I'll list it as and I'll include a spare (just incase) [emoji23]
The vv pent is a good idea, thank you. [emoji106]

I've got squonk mods galore and I hate the mech strip contact switch that seems prevalent. I won't use them as they've got disaster written all over them. ( I fix and build guitars for a living so "good enough" is not good enough for me and I question the actual power loss by using a good switch. I'd much rather a mod is reliable and most of all safe. Again beautiful work. I look forward to your next.

Okie dokie, after adding a tasty patina to a brass sentinel I felt the burst of motivation to retry mod making (previously some simple tin mods - years ago).
While figuring what I wanted to do I saw a thread by @mattvapes1976 - https://www.planetofthevapes.co.uk/forums/index.php?threads/135660/
After reading and being throughly inspired I decided that my first Squonk mod will be a home made one.

I already had the timber (tiger oak, spalted birch & acacia) I ordered what I needed from modmaker and waited impatiently for the arrival.
I finally received it all this Friday and after a long and arduous day of work I set to the task.
Unfortunately I got carried away and forgot to take pics of the process (I'm no @vapesmarter) sorry [emoji17]
But here is the final result. The main panels are tiger oak, the side is acacia and the top and bottom is spalted birch.

Dammit , you completely left mine in the dirt ! Awesome build !!!

Top work there mate! I would like to have a go at making a wooden mod. Got most things sussed I think, but am a bit stumped on the door magnets. How do you drll the tiny holes so neatly?
