Accidentally ignited my RDA..!

It was running too hot, presumably either the atty not locked in at room temp or the Material setting was wrong. It ignited the juice - this happens - @Raguri can give you the lowdown on how to incinerate wicks and terrify people...:flames:

I'm a complete TC numpty (sorry @Mr Numpty), and I intend to stay that way, but what is this "setting the resistance at room temperature" you all speak of?

The TC mod reads the resistance changes in the wire as it heats and adjusts the power output accordingly, but needs to know what the cold resistance of the coil is, which acts as a baseline. You press the appropriate buttons to get the mod to detect the resistance of the coil at room temperature before using tc.

To be fair to vapellie though, only if you prefer your vape without flames. Tastes differ you know, billie! I think you should apologise.

So do you always have to do this? If I chuck a TC coil in a tank and screw it on to a Snow Wolf and just vape away, am I likely to encounter this problem, or possibly the reverse?

Good point well made. Although I can now add from experience, "cotton flambé" is not something I can recommend vaping!

I think the moral of this thread is YES always do it.

Ugh, I wouldn't mind, but I KNEW this before I set fire to my setup!
