Advice on first DIY mix

Hello. Enjoying the forum and hope to a lot here.
Looking for some advice. After a lot of research I decided to go for flavour boss , boss shots. The reviews are great on them so thought it would be a good place to start to dip my toe into.

The question is I have mixed 4 different 500m boss shots, now I wanted to try the flavour profile of each without wasting nicotine. After 2 days on a shake and vape I don't find the flavour coming through yet. Now I'm thinking without the nicotine I have not got the correct Pg/VG ratio that is recommended. Is there a way around this or do I just dump the nicotine in and make it to the correct ratio. I know Pg carries flavour so I'm lacking about 80m of Pg per bottle. This is why I think my flavour is not quite correct. Any help or advice much appreciated. Thanks

Never used that concentrate so not sure why it would not be right. Have you mixed it using the recommended ratio?

Also the recommended steep time is somethin g to consider, some flavours like custard based ones have a fairly long steep time and will not taste the best till after that.

Well I think that is the problem without nic shots I'm way down on Pg. I was hoping to save the nic shots in case I did not like the flavour. I think it's a case of adding the nic shots to get the correct mix ratio. I was hoping for a workaround but if it means putting nic shots in to up the Pg then I will go for it. I have 2 shake and capes and 2 that need a steep according to the bottle

By ratio I mean the recommended amount of concentrate, the website suggests 20%, which would be the total in the finished mix with or without nicotine added, but the total amount you want to end up with. For example, if you are mixing 250ml in total but need to add 4x 10ml nic shots then add 50ml of the concentrate to the bottle, add pg/vg in the ratio that you want up to 210ml, then try a bit. The flavour will be a little over concentrated but will at least give you an idea.

It was a boss shot so flavour concentration is already in bottle. Just add VG/Pg and nic. I will think more next time I mix

The flavour smells great. I have no doubt in the liquid itself. Guess I'm just being tight not wanting to use the nic. Can't wait for the rocket girl . Blueberry custard smells amazing but needs a steep

Just a wee bit try it nic free beforehand, the nic will not make that much difference to to flavour........ if anything you will get fed up with 500mls of it though
