So generally, the lower resistance (e.g. 0.2) coils use loads of power, cane loads of juice, and are best for chucking out big fat clouds. (DTL).
The higher resistence coils (e.g. 1.0 and above) give off less vapour and are more suited to smoker-style vaping (MTL). Often (but not always) with a more restricted airflow setting. You said you were more into flavour than clouds, so that's the one I would go for initially if I were you. As a starting point, you could try the berserker RDA (not to be confused with the beserker RTA) or the vapefly holic. If it's primarily a means for testing juice, I guess the particular RDA is no big deal and you could just go for the cheapest single coil RDA.
There is no hard line between the MTL and DTL ends of the spectrum though, it runs the full gamut.
It might be worth taking up @JohnNada's offer, because it sounds like he has both in there and you could try each of them out.
