What's new

Advice on first DIY mix

I was also thinking from the perspective of someone new to building. that is the great thing about perspective. we all have our own. and Robby will have to decide what his is.
Rda I'm not familiar with I know what they are.
Have you link to a decent RDA I can look at that would fit the wire and cotton.
Also can I not buy the wire already twisted to start and just add cotton ? Make the building a bit easier for s noob. Sure I seen prefilled in tubs before
Thank you both all advice is welcome.
In fact here have my credit card.

Something like this....

Use this in place of your tank. Whack some cotton through the coil. Drop your juice on it, and away you go.

You can prob pick one up for a tenner (I'll let others advise you on the best one to get).

And yes, you certainly can use pre-built coils. Still a bit of a faff to insert them, but that's your only learning curve really.

You can buy Premade coils if that's what your asking, Cotton wise there are that many types the choice would be yours, RDA you might be better getting a Single coil one which should be easier for you to build.

I see that actually looks quite easy to use and I see no mess as room in the tank for drips.

That's why I suggested mesh, to avoid the 2nd learning curve. There are less variables involved like wire gauge, no. of wraps, coil height, leg length, hot spots, wrap spacing etc. I do get that mesh isn't for everyone though, but it is easy.

This is what I'm afraid of so much choice. It took 3 days of reading and questions to pick a new tank. When you look at premade there are so many choices. I don't care for clouds just flavour.

I am not the best to recommend a particular RDA as all my kit is way old.
Certainly single coil for testing.
For simple coils there is no advantage buying them Pre built. They are so easy to make and fitting the coil while not hard is the hardest part. If you want claptons or other fancy coils, by all means buy them. But if is just for juice testing I would stick with simple round wire.

That's a lot of variables. Yes don't want none of that. Maybe in the future . But just a simple juice test will be fine.

Yes just for testing. I tested an unready custard the other day. Coil binned. I will look into it.

Can't speak to mesh, as never used it, it may be even easier! But a single coil RDA you will have working in a couple of hours max. Probably under 30m.

If you do go for coil, as @LordOdin said, go for a single coil RDA. Much simpler.
