What's new

After all this time, I just want something that works, any recommendations?

I've just tried mine with a 3/4 discharged battery with a 0.25 ohm coil at 20W.
I dont think it has boost circuitry as the intensity of the vape is slightly reducing as the battery is reaching cut off. Obviously this will notice more at higher wattage. Despite this it's still a cracking little mod.

I think i've figured out what is going on. Because the CRC pod is taller, it's easier to knock it slightly, and i sometimes pick it up by the pod. This disrupts the connection, and it changes the resistance stated on the screen. If i'm more careful, or re-seat it after a knock, the resistance stays stable and the watts stay the same.

Good you've found out what was causing the issue. Bit of a pain but as it reads the right coil resistance when you reconnect it at least it's doing what it should do.
I use the 2ml and 4.5ml DTL pods on mine but do favour the 4.5ml one cause of the increased capacity.
I was pleasantly supprised again when I got mine out as apart from the performance from the coils being top notch, the form factor of the Marvos S is really nice.

Yeah, it just feels great in the hand. :)

I normally vape on my Geekvape L200 with an RTA so when I got the Marvos S back out to play it felt so small lol. Reminded me of the Pico's but with better performance.
I tend to overlook the fact the Marvos S is a mod as only really used the DTL pod with it but now it's back out in rotation I will play with different tanks on it.

I use mine as a palate cleaner, with a sharp fruity juice in it. I mostly vape custard/cream/bakery type juice, so i use the Marvos S to freshen things up now and then.

Is that the Voopoo drag X that I bought or another mod?

I am surprised you noticed a drop off in power seeing as only 2.2V is needed for 20W with a 0.25 coil- I noticed mine using a 0.6 Ohm coil at 23W. You could see the voltage dropping from 3.71V to 3.5 ish V as the battery runs down. Due to this I haven't let a battery go down to the low battery warning, I switch to a freshly charged one when it starts putting out around 3.6V. I get around 300 puffs from each charge this way.

What batteries are you using? As I have no reason to not believe you that you can notice a difference, just that there must be a large amount of sag going on or the board is very inefficient to not be able to put out what you need with a battery 3/4 full.

Hi @conanthewarrior,
My mistake. The coil was 0.5, not 0.25. I tried this on the Marvos S and was using my old LG HE4.
I put a 3/4 discharged battery in and was vaping at 20W. As the battery drained towards cutoff the intensity of the vape didnt appear as strong as before.

How old is the HE4? At one point I either bought HE4's or Samsung 25R's depending on what was cheapest at the time.

I don't doubt the intensity of the vape dropped off for you, but if it is happening quite noticeably it is probably time to replace the cell. Then again I don't know the cutoff voltage of the Marvos S, if it is 3.0 V then that will happen as you need 3.16V to keep at 20W. The majority of my older mods cut off around 3.1-3.2V, 20W is not demanding much from the battery but I guess even then sag does come in to play and explains you experiencing what I am with the Drag X.

I used to keep my older batteries for lower power vaping though, and you may well be doing this with the old HE4. If that is the case and you have newer cells rock on :)
