AIO Reviewers

I'd say the flavour comes from the juice and everything else is how well your kit delivers it.

You beat me to it.

This has been a bit of a bug bear of mine for a while.

How much flavour do you get from an atty, a coil, the cotton or the mod? . . . . . . . ZERO !

100% of the flavour comes from the juice.

Everything else just SUBTRACTS.

The better your setup, the less it subtracts and will improve how much flavour you can taste from your juice.

If you didn't have a Coil, Cotton and the rest of the things needed for vaping, how would you get that flavour. Sorry but your talking total nonsence.

Sorry @LordOdin I didn't mean to upset you. You're one of the nicest people on the site and it wasn't meant as a dig at you.

I just wanted to get across that point of where the flavour comes from.

I am not upset so no worries, your just as entitled to your opinions as anyone else, not going to fall out with you over something as trivial as this.

Certainly, a poor build can detract from the flavor produced by an aio.

But the same way a cold glass of Bordeaux will taste quite different from a room temperature glass of the same wine (if you like, replace wine with Guinness :18:), the flavor produced is the combination of the rba design, the coil, the cotton, and not least of which, the CHIP! It is this that creates that particular flavor profile from that particular combination for your vaping pleasure

The quality of the chip should not be underestimated, imo, especially when using temp control, but even in wattage mode :22:As far as my palate is concerned, there are almost always a range of flavors in most advanced juices. Which flavor is foremost, or how strong the aftertaste will be f ex, is very different according to many variables.

Whereas it’s true that an aio is simply a battery holder, in theory, there are many variables at play that produce the flavor one experiences ;)

This definitely does not indicate that an aio “has great flavor”, nor that most reviewers (but not all) are not utter fools :18::18::18:

So your saying that a poorer chip won't give as good flavour as a good chip, i am talking about Mod/AIO Chips. I can't see how a chip can do that, if your using the exact same set-up, same temperature, how can a chip make one better than the other ?.

When a company releases a Mod Kit or Pod Kit they never say this Chip produces amazing flavour, it's always the Coils that produce amazing flavour.

Aaah, an excellent question :22:

Firstly, it is not purely how much energy that is delivered to the coil, it is HOW the energy is delivered… Old school mods delivered energy in pulses (as do some of the newer Innokin mods, and you can even adjust the pulse frequency), while newer chips give a much more even flow of electricity. How the chip reads the resistance while being used is also a factor. How the chip reads the temperature in temp control is very different from dna/dicodes/Yihi chips to most other chips,as well.

You can actually test this out on one of the Innokin mods. Take the same juice and change the pulse frequency, you will almost undoubtedly notice a change in flavor profile.

I am not claiming to be an expert, but I do notice the difference ;) I’ve even noticed that there can be a difference between how smoothly the energy is delivered from a LiPo to an 18650, but I’m a strange chap :18:
