I take my batterys out of my vapes when traveling. I put them in zip up pouches that are meant for batterys. before I go to bed I remove the batterys. do I have to do this? I've got aegis legend and just got a sinuous v80. I went into a vape shop where I got the aegis from. the lady in the shop said its a safe mod and I don't have to remove the batterys. then I thought i'm I going over the top with removing batterys? it only takes a sec to do. it stops me worrying.

That's a good habit. I know I should do all that but don't always have the discipline.

Basically an unattended mod shouldn't have a battery in it.

Edit: The chances of a mod misfiring is low but it does happen. The chances of it happening with no batteries in it is zero.

If it stops you worrying crack on :D

I personally don't, but you're taking the tiny risk of a malfunction and making it even less. So fair play.

buy a fire/blast proof safe

personally I think you might be a little over cautious
but I like living on the edge

best not watch this video if you are paranoid about battery safety.....

yes that is silly shit, as Crimewatch used to say - don't have nightmares
stay safe vapers

If it stops you worrying then fine, it doesn't hurt.

I have 5 devices within reach that it's impossible to remove the battery without breaking it...

Plus my phone, and the wife's phone. And a couple of tablets.

And a laptop (powered by 6 18650s).

And a li-ion powered head torch.

I don't bother taking cells out of my mods...

I've only got one 18650 mod
the rest are all "built in" trusted makes

the Aegis is pretty sound - I'd say if you are using genuine good quality 18650's
I reckon I wouldn't fret so much
(on the Aegis I reckon you need to worry about using cheapo iffy batteries than the mod itself
or cheap lower spec/badly rated 18650's if you are really pushing up the watts - that is dodgy)

BUT - it is up to you, and can't be too careful if it puts your mind at rest

@lene I think it’s good that you’ve got into this habit. You had an incident recently didn’t you, where your mod was firing in your bag? I remember you saying that you also had batteries in a case in the same bag - that incident could of been a whole lot worse if those batteries weren’t in a case. It’s a very good thing to be safety conscious, these batteries are powerful and a lot of people get lazy and forget that :)

yes it put the shits up me!
if it worries you then keep doing it.
it would take me a few hours to take all the batteries out of mine so ive never bothered.
28 mods next to me all batteried up. 7 of them are internal batteries and nothing you can do with them.
