Am I vaping safely?

We are a friendly bunch really :D
If you phrase your questions as 'I would like to' rather than 'I all ready am' you will find people are quite willing to advise and point you in the right direction. It sounds as though you have a fairly sound head on your shoulders, we would just rather like to keep it there ;)

byrnes we might have come across as nasty, I was going to post myself but didn't.

No harm is intended, its purely the fact we are very safety minded here and snap when we feel something isn't safe. We should all work for HSE ;-)

Nobody was intending to be nasty IMO, but we just dont want you posting tomorrow with one arm, why the fuck didnt you guys tell me?!?!?!

Tag one of us in particular in any questions you have, infact tag me if you wish ill try and help as much as I can

Just get a parallel 18650 box mod with a good switching set up, mosfet is nice or a well made mech is ok too, then you'll be vaping away merrily at 0.2 with half the stress on the batteries. If poss look for something with fuses in it to protect against a hard short in the atty if you melt the insulator or something else bad like that happens.

If your vaping regularly at 0.2 ohms its well worth looking for something safer than a single battery tube mod to do it with. Its also very easy to make one if you competent with a drill and a soldering iron.

You have been given some good advice.
Some things to consider when sub-ohming:-
1. How well calibrated is your ohm meter/voltmeter
2. what is the resistance of your meter leads
A 0.01 ohm decrease in resitance can push the current up to 20 amps. At these levels the smallest mistake can send the current and wattage in to more dangerous levels. It is so easy to make a mistake with badly calibrated equipement, or equipment that is on the edge of calibration. If it's power you want, consider one of the 100 watt mods and increase the voltage and resistance (8.4v and 0.44 ohms gives the same power but does not push the batteries so hard). By increasing the resistance any minor errors are more forgiving.

Another thing to remember is that if a battery is pushed to hard it can give off gasses which if not vented properly could be ignited by that coil which is glowing like an 80watt light bulb without any glass around it
