What's new

Another shout out for Stealthvape's NiFe30

Yup, think thats the idea. Hopefully it will have enough resistance change to use it in TC mode too.
A Titanium Iron alloy should have a greater resistance change than Pure Titanium, It will be interesting to see what people think...

Ordered some 26 and 28awg Niffy from @stealthvapes this morning. I gave up on Ni200 almost immediately; getting very decent results from titanium currently, but it can be difficult to work with.

Looking forward to giving it a bash.

Ordered the 2 thinner ones to have a play with but it's going to have to go some to displace my beloved titanium. Game on!

Sorry, I know this will have been stated elsewhere, but is it better to use this in nickel or titanium mode and what offset should I be looking to see? Thanks.

Ni mode.

Offset for the DNA40 board is -5 to -10C in my experience (I'm normally at 195-205C with NiFe30). I seem to need a bigger offset (around -25C) for the IPV D2 (I usually settle at 170-180C). I suspect that the two chips handle Ni a bit differently.

Offset in Ti mode is about +70C, which is not ideal as you might not be able to get as hot as you'd like.

Just tried this tonight, 7 wraps 26awg in a subtank mini on an IPVD2. Really nice smooth flavoursome vape and a doddle to build

Snapped some coils on the RDTA's open post holes but just have to get used to the pressure required. Not as sturdy as Ti but thinner of course. Can play with it all you want after installing the coils. Very forgiving & malleable. Easy to work with. So far so good.
