Are 316 really 316?

That's my point (unsure if you're familiar with the DNA/eScribe?):
I have been uploading to the devices various S316/316L material profiles, nothing matches the coil's behaviour correctly, unless I would use the S304/304L ones.

if it’s not behaving correctly is likely to do with the coil/setup itself, rather than the profile. TC works the same way, ie on the same principle, regardless of the type of wire. or, all wire behaves in a similar manner but with a greater or lesser degree.

I am unsure if you got it right what I've wrote before?
2 different tanks, 4 different mods, and the 2 different coils brands: Hellvape and VandyVape?

If you're using TC, some mods are better than others.
OK, to clarify once again: since the inital post I have performed the tests using other arrangements, so in total:
Lost vape:
Thelema Solo DNA 100c
Triade 250C
Ultroner:
Thor DNA 75C
Thor II DNA 75C
ThinkVape:
Craton DNA 100C
Steam Crave:
Hadron
Tanks:
VandyVape Kylin M
HellVape DeadRabbit M
Coils:
Hellvape,
Vandyvape
all 0.15, all 316.

Again: all of these arrangements are working better with the material set to 304, whatever I will use: material profiles from evolv (stock from mod delivery or from evolv forums) or from steam-engine.org.
Potentially I could test the behaviour on other mods too, but I am unsure which would have the materials settings available, not the "generic" temperature control? Anyway, as I am predominantly using the based on the DNA mods, I do not have other one in hand...?

By "inconsistent" I mean: I am setting the new coil. Normal, waiting 10minutes to soak etc. Vaping normally.
Putting the mod for hr or so on a side, then vaping back, the "new coil" message pops up. Or, I start normally having too hot vape.
hope is more clear now?
Let me say that this is a strange situation. I think there are a great many people here who have reliably built ss 316 coils and used dna mods with tc, without having the slightest problem, myself included.

You mentioned that a new coil alert pops up after a rest. This does not have anything to do with the tc, as far as I know it is indicating that the connection has been broken at some point. Then it’s a question of diagnosing the problem. You say you’ve tried many tanks and mods; I am only left with either a faulty build or faulty wire. No offense, but it doesn’t make sense.

I will say that I never quite managed to get tc to work correctly on stock mesh ss coils, but I have no idea about mesh rebuildables. The only thing I can think of is that the tc is having trouble recognizing the mesh and an overly complicated or faulty wire. Sorry I can’t be of much help :D

Another couple of questions:

How high do you have the wattage set for in tc?

Do you lock your ohms?

I replace the standard profile for 316L to this...

"Temperature (degF)","Electrical Resistivity"
-100,0.894808411598206
0,0.958847641944885
70,1
200,1.07214200496674
400,1.17025530338287
600,1.25681757926941
800,1.33548283576965

Just put that in a file called SS316L.csv and load it up.

Will try (will make it 316 II as I already have SS316L in my materials).
