I was under the impression it'd be safe to assume 1.5x amps in a 2 cell parallel setup, simply because Mooch. But it's genuinely double?

Indeed, bit as you know they don't discharge equally either, so without rotation you end up with poorly matched cells fairly quickly
This is true, but since you'd have to charge externally then simple randomness will cover that facet of the problem - unless you get someone OCD who always charges the same cells in the same slots and then returns them to the mod in the same order - but knowing they need to be rotated pretty much ensures that sane people will rotate them...

There are losses but they are very minor, and usually relate to contact resistances, for most purposes assuming 2x current is safe - I'm sure mooch was just being Ultra cautious...

Have you been spying on me?? Lol :P

I don't use a mech but I have been doing some research on the nc as its an affordable one and from what I have gathered over the last month or so of looking into things is this
1. Always use a recognised brand of batteries ie lg,Sony,Samsung
2. Learn ohms law and battery saftey
3. At first never build to low
4. On any series mod it is a very BAD idea to build below around .3ohm as it puts too much stress on your batteries

I am by no means an expert but I would listen to my fellow apes. It a bit like riding a powerfull motorcycle without wearing leathers you can do it but when it goes. Wrong it'll go wrong in a big way and you'll be seeing alot of specialists in hospital. My advice is learn everything you can about battey saftey ohms law and as your mate is building so low cpr

I'm just wondering - what battery would be the best bet for a Kangertech Dripbox? I'm picking one up next week, and as its my first mod with an external battery, I'd like to be on the safe side.. I'm not going to be building lower than 0.2ohms, probably sticking around 0.4 or 0.5 as that's where I'm comfortable
