Hi good people. I recently bought a mini lava tube body which takes 18350 batteries. Todd was kind enough to give me a battery and charger to get me started which was very nice of him. I went on to Amazon last week and seen a pair of 18350's so I ordered them as they were under a tenner. They arrived on Christmas eve and are branded "Ultra Fire" they are rated 1200mAh where as the battery Todd gave me is rated 700 mAh. My noob question is; Are the trust fire batteries ok to use in my lava tube and does the difference in mAh matter?

Ta in advance

Sean :22:

Hi Sean, can't see why you can't use them, the mah rating is just how long they will hold their charge, so they should last a lot longer, between charging than the 700mah ones.

Thanks Belgarion, I know bugger all about mAh and didn't want to fry my LT lol

I only know what I have learned from forums like this, and still learn more everyday. Bit thick, me, lol

And Bel will do, Belgarion is a bit of a gob full, Tee Hee.

Be a bit wary of the trustfires mate not sure if there high drain or not cheers andy

Cheers Andy, they are just as a back up for long days out as theres nothing worse than your batteries going flat on you when you need them most lol

Hi I'm only going on what I've read in other forums and I've noticed on a few mod sites they say there not suitable for vv try em that's the best way cheers Andy

If they are not IMRs they are likely to be an epic fail. I have some supposed 4000 mah Ultrafires and they won't deliver the sort of power an e fag requires. They last for ages in torches though.

Thanks Brian, so far they have been ok and hold a good charge but like you say time will tell. I'm using my other lava tube just now with 18650's and they batteries are lasting almost 2 days each :5:
