If you look at the polls results reported and the 'officials' spouting the same old tune, it clearly displays how out of step they are with public opinion.

It's telling how different the results were of a poll very similar to the one on The One Show a few weeks back when it was preceded by an inaccurate and biased anti-ecig film BEFORE the poll was opened (that day it was 53% against vaping in public places).

I love the uni's logic: stupid people were starting arguments because they insist on having opinions without applying facts, thus we need to pretend they have a point to shut them up. Honestly, if people were getting narky at yogurt eaters because it looks like they could have certain fun substances in it, would they ban yogurt? Exactly as insipid.
