Haha. I've never been to Wales. I look forward to going to The Valleys next year for the Green Man Festival with my kids. It looks great.

Up here in Scotland, Wales feels miles away on the political landscape. I imagine that feeling is reciprocated down there as well.

They don't want vaping to normalise smoking for children. The only places I know that allow vaping inside are vape shops and pubs/bars (and I don't mean the family friendly type) really I would be more concerned that your children are there in the first place.

Well, i live in Wales & if they want to do this they will, once they make their mind up (Which was some time ago) , it's almost set in stone.
I honestly couldn't give a fuck, there are bigger issues in the world.

I agree, Im still going to vape, if i have to vape in designated areas or outside i dont mind, I did mind when i smoked fags because the cravings were so bad but since vaping I can go hours and hours without a toot, as long as they dont ban it all together then Im good

As long as it doesn't get banned all together we're all good ! I don't vape in any establishments anyway, they all think vaping is voodoo around here. Ooooohh ! SMOKING WITHOUT ACTUALLY SMOKING !!! BURN THE WITCH !!!

My favourite pub in Wales lets me vape inside because the owner isn't stupid and understands the difference between vaping and smoking. I don't go there that much anymore but it will be shame to have to stand outside again when I do, such a lovely atmosphere in there.

Although disappointing, this was pretty much predictable.

Governments hold 'consultations' where they pretend to listen to the public they purport to serve and then just ignore any input that goes against their plans and go ahead and do what they want to regardless.

The only way this will ever change is if we just refuse to accept bullshit that's forced on to us and resist.

If enough people just say 'feck that for a game of soldiers' and just ignore the bullshit, it takes away 'their' assumed authority to dictate.

'We' outnumber 'them' by a large margin.. perhaps we need to make those ratios count and force them to rethink.

From what I saw (I assume it's the same story) 78% were opposed and a number of major bodies like ASH and cancer uk are against it but they're still going ahead because 'think of the kids, we just don't know'.

I literally do not understand how this is allowed to happen.
