My fun in mixology is leaving me a little baffled. I have tried a few concentrates of various types but seem to keep having the same problem with all my mixes, hard to describe but they are all a little 'fluffy' like maybe a sort of cotton wool type sensation whilst vaping. I am going to have a wee go at recleaning my gear with Miltons which seems highly regarded but I get the same with even brand new Kanger Evod's.
Some examples; I LOVE Swedish fish from Alba, but can't get the same with their own concentrate. Its very obviously concentrated, but the same amazing sherbet sparkle just isn't there. I have some of their Honey Nut concentrate, I love the smell of it, but my mix is bleurgh. I also have what is my most successful which is an Inawera Blackcurrant, but I seem to be way over the concentration levels.
So, is there any way to 'sharpen' my mixes? I have been thinking maybe an ethyl maltol mix may help as I have a sweet tooth (but why do I feel i need to add it to everything?)
Also I could do with some suggestions for a sweet cherry concentrate and does anyone know of a Port type flavouring?
