Chana DNA 30 project/rebuild

Well I've got two boards that need repairing so I'll try with one and if it doesn't go well then maybe I'll invest in some.

One broken screen removed. One new screen successfully attached. Not half as bad as I was expecting. Getting the old screen off was the worst bit. Once that was done soldering the new one on was surprisingly easy. Cheers rob stealthvape

The dna30 got a bit beat up during the first build attempt/screen smash incident so have decided to go down a different path.

Re primed ready for new finish.

The sx350 box has however come out rather nice.

Two coats of primer. Three coats pearlescent purple. Two coats of clear lacquer.

Boxes have been dipped at the hydrographic guy. Clearcoating today a d should be ready to collect tomorrow. Will post up some picks once they're back in my grubby little paws.

Just out of curiosity how much did they cost to get hydrographiced?

I managed to get them done for mates rates as the guy is a friend of the family and was doing other work so he just did them along with the other stuff. I am enquiring as to what sort of price he would charge but he is just starting up and small one off pieces are awkward as it costs him £10 every time he heats the tank up. He said it would be better value if he could do more at a time.

Fair enough, I'd probably be happy to wait till he has stuff he is already doing so he doesn't have to heat the tank for 1 wee box.
