Axe to grind against other countries maybe but that doesn't mean they're going to lie to their own government about something that could potentially kill over 2 million Americans. There would be no point and no benefit.

I see your point. Problem is. History shows the CIA will lie to anyone, including the Orange turd or any or his predecessors.
I don't know one way or the other. I guess nobody ever will. But I trust the CIA no more that I trust the word of the Chinese administration, or indeed MI5.

He said about the greeting of respect in Japan of bowing.
I said about the French kissing on both cheeks, and the Italians, and Spanish hugging each other when simply bumping into each other in the street.
You then joined in saying that this was normal behavior in the whole of Southern Europe.
I pointed out that it was not in Eastern Europe.
Also I posted a map of Europe with a line down the middle where most people accept the division between East & West is.

Now if you look at the map you will see that the line between East & West passes through the middle of what was Yugoslavia (which was always a bit of a basket case country)
The one you quote specifically Slovenia is firmly on the West of the line.

Now what is on the West side of the line, particularly the Southerly area, Spain, France, and Italy, oh look, the countries in Europe with the highest infection levels.

I am fully aware of the fact that a variety of people practice anal sex.

As I have 6 gay male friends, 5 gay female friends (one who always slap a bright red kiss mark on my cheek to see if she can get me in the shit with the missus) and one bisexual male friend, and that is only current friends, not people I have known in the 60 years I have been around.

I can also say that I have over the years, that I have had friends, current & previous that range from criminals, alcoholics, drug dealers, prostitutes, regular family guys, vicars, disabled (physical & mental) to company directors, from every nationality in the world, and all sexual orientations.

So I, and none of my friends i would believe, would consider myself "ignorant" let alone incredibly so.
