I haven't given my atties a proper clean ... in ever. I'm currently finishing off all the juice in them. I picked up some Milton sterilising tablets and looked on the forum to check how much and how long. It seems the advice is not at all. I don't have an ultrasonic vibrator and I'm not going to buy one for a while.

What is the best way to clean a bunch of tanks? Normally I soak them in a cup of hot water for a while, but that is not going to get them very clean.

Warm water and a dibble of washing up liquid. Soak for a few hours and rinse.

Vodka can also be used.

Hot soapy water is fine. Milton if you've had an intense flavour in the tank that won't shift. In that case, strip it down completely - including O rings - and let all the pieces soak for an hour or so.

I’ve used Milton too (trying to remove heisenberg) ... but it can start reacting with some metals. Took the plating off the 510 pin on one of my tanks

Yah, it seems Milton reacts with the metal.
Do you think it would clean faster if I dropped the atties in a bowl of soapy water and popped it in the microwave for a few minutes?

No

Metal and microwaves don’t mix ... sparks will fly ;)
