cleaning atties?

If mine looked like that id bin the milton and call a fucking preist
I've just been looking at how to clean my beserker that has been cursed by some minging juice.... your reply here is outstanding! Proper made me laugh my chops off!! Thanks for the humour!!!

I've been wondering how one can get rid of the lingering smell from any tank...had thought of using bicarb of soda...but not sure if that'll damage paint o rings etc. I've got several tanks i've clean just using hot soapy water and a soft old toothbrush...but still that smell of whatever was last in them lingers. Maybe i'll try a milton tab next. Not going to use an ultrasonic, as i know that'll strip the paint off.

An ultra sonic cleaner won't damage anything. I've cleaned dozens of atties dozens of times in my cleaner. What you add to the water may cause damage tho.

Get some isopropyl alcohol.

Bicarbs fine, either in water or in a plastic tub along with the attie stripped down (just keep them apart) & rinse well. Milton or denture tablets are fine too. Never had an issue with US cleaners.

I usually only clean mine when they go out of rotation and it’s time to get put away. I don’t put anything unhygienic in then, only home brew eliquid.

Cheers chaps.

I've some bicarb in the kitchen, so i'll have a go at using that first...and if that doesn't shift the smell then i'll try the isopropyl alcohol, if i can find some in me local supermarket or pharmacy.

I'll be getting a cheap ultrasonic soon someday..but for now, will just use the low tech methods and see how they fare.

Trust me bicarb works. Ask anybody who knew Tubbyengineer & what juices he vaped. I had the unenviable task of cleaning down all his gear & bicarb even shifted Heisenberg (eventually :D)

Oh well, that settles it then! I had the misfortune to choosing Heisenberg as my very first ejuice..and jesus.... that stuff really STINKS! Nevermind what it fecking tasted like.....:puke:

Tried once...never again! I swear the smell of it lingered for days after i flushed it down the bloody sink! If bicarb can shift that stench...then it'll have easy job of whatever is in my tanks!

Will take a couple of long soaks. Make sure you strip it down completely including O rings.

You can also put a heaped teaspoon of bicarb in a cup with the dismantled attie then pour a wee drop of white vinegar on it, just enough to cover it. It will fizz up. Leave it 5 mins then rinse it with soapy water.
