Hello,

Just off the back of reading the other post about clearomiser costs, what are the life span on these things? Started vaping sat morning and loving it!!! Got a Innokin vv itaste. It came with 2 clearomisers, one is the iClear 16 Clearomiser and the other a vision CE5 one I think?!?!So you can change the atomiser head/wick. How long can I expect to get life out of them? When will I know they need changing? Just thinking whether I need to stock up on a couple. Or is best just to buy completely new clearomisers?

:D

Hi Pingu,

I've been vaping just shy of a month and I've gone through two Vision CE5 atomiser heads, but I am guilty of vaping like a nutter and even more so a couple of weeks ago when my nicotine level was too low. Now I'm on 18mg I don't vape quite so much and regular flushing with hot water seems to be extending my atomisers' lifecycles. I think I was guilty of not cleaning one of them properly and I was using quite a dark juice in it. The dark ones leave a lot of cruddy residue on the coils whereas the clearer, lighter juices are more forgiving. Having a higher VG content in a juice will also clog up your coils more quickly. The tell tale sign for me is when the clearos start to be a bit harder to draw vapour through. As soon as that happens,I flush them out and wash the wick. I can't speak for the iClear 16s as I haven't tried them. I bought a pack of four atomiser heads for £10,which seems to be the going rate. But as to how long these last....it kind of depends how much you vape. They just go on you after a day if you're unlucky, but I heard about a chap, from my local vendor, who swears he's been using the same Vision atomiser for three months!! ;-)

Hope that helps a bit.

hi pingu .
i`ve just finished watching a video on u tube ...you can rewick and rewire the ce 5 clearo ..kanthal 0.2 wire and 3 mm silica rope "wick" many vendors on here will supply this ..as for the i clear i dont know about that ,,except that when it starts losing taste or not much vape ..change the atomiser head ..here is the link for the rewicking ce5 ,,its for a vivi nova but the atomiser heads come apart the same

Cheers dude , good advice, I'm vaping 18mg grant vanillia custard so thats quite dark stuff, going through about 1ml a day I reckon at the moment. How do you clean them just rinse and clean with warm water? If you do that can you swap flavours over easily? Seem to be getting on better with the sweet vapes rather than the tobacco type ones.

Hey Pingu, I SOOOOOOO want to try some of that vanilla custard. Got to order myself some :-) Seems we share similar tastes. I can't cope with the tobacco flavours, but I am vaping one which is very mild. You might like it and it's a definite all day vape. It's made by Hangsen and the flavour is Virginia Tobacco. I don;t get any tobacco flavour from it,just a hint of caramel. Does the job for me at £18 for 100ml,£14 when it's on offer :-) I really like hazelnut and coffee flavours too. The whacky ones tasting like wine gums etc don't do it for me....too sweet for my taste, but it's horses for courses eh?

For cleaning, have a look at this:

This bloke does it a different way:

Well, the T3 has gone down in my estimation after having a few of the replaceable bits die in a few days, back to the drip tip methinks.

Thanks everyone for all your helpful advice! Judy I ordered 2 liquids off ya this morning, the battenburg one and the custard creams! Looking forward to giving them a blast!!!!! :pie:

I also got some tobacco flavours from mist liquids, a virginna one which is harsh and is my morning hit, not really doing it for me, they do sample sizes 5ml. Their RY4 doesn't seem too bad though.
