By bottoming out what do you mean?Small wire in a big hole ? Not locking the wire down ! Screw might be bottoming out .

The screw is tightening down as much as it will go but not going down far enough to trap the wire. This only normally happens if you are using very thin wire such as 28 gauge or smaller but will depend on the atty.By bottoming out what do you mean?
tell ya what. Heres a picture. Will make it easier for us to all figure it out. I am showing the post screws and the screwdriver im using. The screw is tightening down as much as it will go but not going down far enough to trap the wire. If it is a flat slotted head screw , make sure the screwdriver isn't too wide or it could be catching in the threaded hole and not allowing you to tighten properly. That only counts if the screw goes lower than the top of the post.
ill unscrew the coil and then put it back inThey should lock on that coil. Are you sure you've got the legs pushed in the holes far enough to trap them. It's sometimes difficult to see with a postless deck. It's all feel. Make sure the screws are trapping the leg and not pushing it down the side of the screw.
Hi there. It changes if i put my screwdriver down the side of the screw. its down the left side. Its a conductive thing for sure because if i put my ceramic tweezers down there, nothing changes. They should lock on that coil. Are you sure you've got the legs pushed in the holes far enough to trap them. It's sometimes difficult to see with a postless deck. It's all feel. Ah right got ya. So as long as i dont put it on my mod and vape with a screw driver jammed in there it will be okay? You're catching pos & neg parts simultaneously. I can replicate it on the 22 but only on one screw. It's where the 2 parts of the deck are separated by the insulator. Nothing to worry about if it's just you being ham fisted with the screwdriver but a good lesson for problem solving should you get the same behaviour when you're not touching anything. If it had been a piece of wire on the deck bridging the insulator you may have created a short.
