OK, After my debacle with my first RDA that just leaked all over the shop but actually did work , I have now taken delivery of an Augvape Intake and i am really struggling with the coil.
It is like they are too small so i cant feed enough cotton through them and made the wrong way around for the build deck so they have to be bent and twisted to buggery to try and clamp them in place, not to mention i am finding it quite fiddly actually getting the coil fixings to not eject the coil as i am tightening it down!

I did a quick build and primed it and filled it etc just to see if it mattered and i got gurgling and then juice in my mouth. I tried different wattages and up to 80 watts to see if i wasn't atomising the the juice enough or something and tried sucking a bit harder and softer but i just got varying amount of juice coming through the drip tip.
This is the mess that i am ending up with after buggering about with the coils trying to get them to work, there doesn't seem to be a way to get the ends coming from the bottom of the coils, they have to come from the top. I don't have any suitable tools so i am making a pigs ear of it!

Am i just being a complete idiot and the answer is staring me in the face? It seems to me that i need to unravel the coils and wrap them the other way but that wont be pretty! I watched a video of the guy that helped design it and he just offers the coil up and everything is facing the right way and it just slots right in!

Once i get this issue sorted I will deal with the wicking which must be what was causing the liquid to make its way out of the top?

coils can be wrapped either way, when you buy pre-made they are only wrapped one way.

.. the best designed tanks will let you use both.

Alright thanks guys. I have rewound one the other way and round a slightly fatter bar to make it a bit easier to feed the wick through.

Yeah, the wrong way ;)

man, i must have watched half a dozen review videos on this thing and not one of them mentioned the fact that it was built backwards..

lol, they often are ... it's part of the reason I started winding my own, by the time you've messed around you might as well have just wound it yourself in the first place.

Makes me very happy that i just ordered 48 more coils..

Winding it wasn't that bad so i guess i will just buy some wire.

This time round i am still getting some gurgling (well more than on the stock crown IV tank) but that is the only other tank i have to compare it too.

This tank is a totally different experience to that one. It has MUCH less airflow and gets much hotter so I am having to adjust how i use it but it is working. Having watched other people though they seem to suck the hell out of it so i still think i havent done it quite right.

I think the gugling and spitback problem is caused by your wicking. Roll the cotton like you would erm like a roll up and pinch and twist at one end to push it through the coil.

Next you need to make sure the cotton is acting as a dam to the juice well. You want the cotton ‘fluffed’ at the ends so threads are in the juice well but not completely blocking it up.

Give it a go and let us know how you get on. You will get there and once you do you’ll get the benefits of an even and smooth vape

It seemed to calm down after a little while and while i am still getting a very slight gurgle i am now able to get a decent pull on it with no spit back and loads of flavour. The flavour is so good that it took me a little while to be sure i wasn't still getting a little juice in my mouth!

Once it settled down i was also able to start producing quite healthy clouds although that isnt my main motivation.

So, i think the wicking is 'ok', but could probably be better? The tank itself is great, i am loving it :)

If you are getting great flavour bang away! I’d agree about the wicking. When you need to change the cotton see if the above fixes the gurgling. Good work!
