Coils- WTF am i doing wrong?

And allways prime the wick with juice first before fitting the deck to the tank.dont just put the build in dry .
It's a steep learning curve but after a few weeks you'll get the hang of it,I've been vaping on and off for ages with pen mods, mtl, decided it's not good enough and spent a lot of time lurking on vape forums and reading before I got an rta.
My collection of coils I messed up ,I'm learning a lot on this forum.

I will keep experimenting!

The coil I just put in was in the same position as the last one which worked fine. The tank isn't leaking so I assume the wick isnt too long and I am getting lots of vapour so the wick must be drawing the juice up.

It doesn't taste like I am getting burnt or dry hits, just flavourless. I will look at again tomorrow and take some pics . for the time being I am going to use my original tank which uses 'normal' coils.

For some reason I thought it was bad to fire up the coil dry , i didn't know you could do that to 'clean' it so I will also give that a go!

The one thing I think I have done right is priming it. My problems lie elsewhere. Nice box of shame you have there:)

Haha, thanks, yeah you can dry fire your coil ,I start at about 18 watts and move up till it glows bright red, only the same as firing it to eliminate hotspots when you first put it in.

I don't think there's a real need to glow the coils too bright, just enough to get the coil hot enough for the crud to crisp and dry before brushing and or rinsing.

Don't forget that airflow plays a big part in getting flavour. Too much air can dilute the vapour too much, but you do get nice big clouds. As has been said, experiment with power as well as airflow settings, until you get the balance right for you.

Don't ever underestimate the effect your wicking has on flavour. The fastest way to kill flavour in an RTA is to use too much cotton.

I've had some of that companies ni200 coils before. They cost £6 and i fitted them no problem. When I took a drag though I thought I was going die, they were shit.

Isn't ni200 temp control only??
