Confused about wire gauges

Thanks. I generally vape TC anyway or replay mode. I only use Ni80 when I run out of steel. I'll see about 26/36. I generally go for around .333 spaced but sometimes it's .21 at most
Ni80 isn't TC wire either although some on Evolv forums claim it works well in Replay (NOT in my experience). You can have a TC core wire & any type of wire as a wrap, such as 26awg SS core & 36/38awg Ni80 wrap. TC & Replay use the core to determine resistance & to measure that change to work properly.

I only use the Ni80 in power mode, I know you can have a mixture in replay mode. Apparently their is a replay mode in beta testing called pk or something for Kanthal.

PK was selectable in Escribe when "C" was released, along the lines of "Dubious coils" setting but don't use Kanthal so not kept up with developments.

Didn't know that. Have also heard there's a new squonk being made that is dual battery but can use one of those battery packs.

If it's the Lost Vape Drone replacement, plenty of rumour but no facts. Be interesting to see dual battery/lipo pack but seems a bit overkill. One or the other but interchangeable? Currently different settings for either/or so would require Escribe to swap.

I find 30awg heats up (and cools down) noticeably faster than 28. But take into account that the 28 needs more wire to get the same resistance, which is also a factor in heat up (cool down) time.

Yeah drone was mentioned as it being the replacement of.
