Considering pulse bf and 24 rda

Do you buy pre made coils mate? Or build NI80? This is where I'm stuck at the moment, is ni80 just a type of wire?
Personally I use a coil master and build simple ni80 Macro coils 5 wraps 3mm single coil is a great vape on a mech in something like a Narda or O-atty.

You can of course buy pre made coils but be aware they can come out extremely low resistance especially in dual config which on a single cell mech like the pulse be very dangerous and cause an explosion !

Make sure you know your ohm's law and battery safety , I know it's boring but very important.

Tbh you should really start out your coil building journey on a regulated device with safety features the Pulse BF will not stop you from firing a dangerous build and could end very badly :(

Thank you for the information my friend, I've just been reading up and predictive text for the gaper lol

So, I have Samsung 25r's. I purchased 4 in advance for my new squonker. They have a 20A limit, so really I should be building at about 0.4ohms to stay within the safe parameters? Does that mean for a dual build each coil needs to be 0.8ohms?

Thanks for the reply, it made me go and workout my ohms resistance and battery power and maximum it can be pushed. So would you say no more than 0.4 ohms for the pulse bf mod?

Samsung 25r are a great battery and a decent choice for the mod.

In regard to safe ohm's I would say down to around 0.3 is fairly safe. You will no doubt hear of people here and on YouTube going down to 0.13 and the likes using the batteries pulse ratings but it's a risk I'd rather not take.

Check out the online calculator 'steam engine' it's a fantastic tool for calculating coils/battery related stuff.

Thanks pal, I did have a dual build on at 0.19 but I've just ripped a coil out and it's sitting 0.38 just now, but that's single. I'll need to get dual on to the get the best out of it, you can't close just one airflow, it's both or none!

You may have saved my beautiful face

Running a battery at higher than it's rated CDR (continuous discharge rating) is quite normal when using mechs. Most people find that using a 0.4 ohm on a Samsung 25R just doesn't quite deliver on the vapour production.

However, and it is a big HOWEVER, the responsibility for making sure you don't overheat your battery becomes totally yours !

A samsung 25R can happily deliver higher current than it's CDR but only for very limited amounts of time (say, the length of a draw) It may then need a rest period to cool down before doing it again. When I first started using mechs with lowish ohm builds, I would take a vape and then get the battery out and feel it's temperature. TBH I never got to the point where it ever got actually hot. If it was getting warm, I would consider that as my absolute upper limit and would back off the usage, or up the resistance of the build.

Stay safe.
