Hi mate, sorry for the delay in reply, but it took a while to read all the reports you posted links for. Here are my comments on each, and below that my sumarised opinion.

Large pub it would seem, usually can hold up to 1,000 people, and even under covid restrictions was allowed to accommodate 356 customers.
16 positive cases, but note that they were among staff, no customers at all, so it could be said they were work, or personal lifestyle related infections, rather than the fact that the establishment was a pub.

Weatherspoons, interesting one this, 17 employees isolating after three co workers tested positive, raised by a “whistle blower” interesting because the pub was in lockdown at the time, so not even open to the public !

I don’t know why you included this link, as it is about an illegal rave, rather than a licenced pub / restaurant.

Pubs in Dingwall linked to twenty covid cases says the newspaper, but does not say if these suspected case were subject to a covid test. No mention of if they were staff, or customers.

The King William IV, one customer tested positive, and a few days later the landlord. and staff were told to isolate. It could be conjectured that the customer was infected by a member of staff.
The White Hart, a member of staff tested positive.
The White Lion, a member of staff tested positive.

The Fox and Hounds, one customer had a positive test, the pub posted on Facebook that all staff had had a covid test, but did not reveal if any were positive, strange that because if they were all negative would he not have proudly stated the fact ?
The Lighthouse Kitchen and Carvery, one customer tested positive, at the time on Facebook the landlord said his staff had not been tested..........................
The Village Home Pub, the landlord said that there had been a case of coronavirus in the pub, but did not say whether it was a customer, or a member of staff.

Not sure really why you included this as it is a report from Wetherspoons saying that 50 out of 811 sites had had one positive covid test, and that there had been 66 positive tests out of 41,564 employees. Hardly damming evidence that pubs are a breeding ground for covid.
To sumarise, it would seem that most of these reports contained vague information regarding whether people had had tests, in one report that did say staff had been tested, but did not say whether the tests were positive, or negative.
However the majority of people mentioned were staff members, not customers.
This leads me to form the opinion that their original infections were outside of the workplace.
A lot of many pub bar staff are young, sharing houses, some have two jobs to make ends meet, and single ones have boyfriends that I doubt they have not seen for nine months.
Don’t get me wrong, it is awful that anyone gets covid, but I do not think that pubs, restaurants, and café’s are the hotbed breeding ground for infection that many (including scientists, and the government) make them out to be ! particularly amongst the customers.
Plus these are mainly reports from small local newspapers so are “front page” news.
It would make an interesting comparison between the infections of staff verus customers in all of the major supermarkets......................
Possibly the government should say you can visit a supermarket, or a pub, but be careful of the staff as they are likely to infect you............................
