Coronavirus UK Daily Statistics

it’s interesting this happened in aberdeen. it has (or at least did have 10 years or so ago when i was there) the highest density of pubs per population in the u.k. there is a big drinking culture in the city. it was possible to drink 24 hours if one was happy to frequent the casino for a couple of hours before the 6am places opened.

Who would have guessed you Scots like a drink [emoji6] [emoji23] [emoji23] [emoji23]

pubs should have been one of the last things to open imo. the alcohol industry and pub trade has a lot of influence and lobbying power.
Exactly.

Latest i heard on the Aberdeen cluster is bars that were following the guidlines in Aberdeen are blaming other's that that were virtually doing nothing. Reports also mentioning ques of folk with little to no social distancing outside some of these premises.

Seems we are blighted by the same idiots that think it's still the flu

And supposedly two Aberdeen FC players have tested positive.

Stay safe folks, hope to fuck we're not going back into lockdown again....

i have to say in the part of glasgow i live everything has seemed pretty civilised and sensible. i’ve not been inside the pubs mind, but the folk sitting outside seem staying to their tables and staff have masks on. can’t speak for the whole city, mind, as i’ve very much been staying local since march!

Same here but I've been in my local ones. They've said today they'll be making it mandatory for them to collect contact details so that should sort that. I've not been in to the city centre yet though but apparently some are very strict. One in, on out in toilets etc.

So what made you go to the pub, no disrespect but thats why i moan, although rules got relaxed it was inevitable that anywhere that folks could gather ie Pubs, marches, restraunts where bound to start a rise in cases. So why not use your brains and stay at home, you have less chance of catching and spreading if you stay home. I am diabetic with other related disabilities which is why i have shielded until i came to my Moms. The risk for me is probably much higher than for you.
If you end up with covid then you might of wished you had stayed home instead, is alcohol really a good reason to go out, you could buy booze and sit in your own back garden and even have a few mates there.
