Covid-19 - natural / man made debate - does it matter?

Devils Advocate (AKA Ranting of a Loon)
If it killed 80% of the worlds population
would that really be a bad thing.?
The world is over populated as it is.

I'm not smarter than you [emoji16] and I don't know how the virus started but it's strange that China have had a problem with too many old people for years then all of a sudden this virus starts in a city with a bio lab and the worst effected by it are old people [emoji23]

how much of this is true

The corona virus traveled all over the world from Wuhan China, but it did not reach Beijing or Shanghai or other major cities in China. Can anyone explain how is that possible?

There are so many questions, after all, where it all started, in China, the Chinese stock market did not collapse, but the American and European markets did, and when those markets collapsed, the Chinese bought a lot.

All roads lead back to China

1. They created a virus for which they already had an antidote.

2. They purposely spread the virus for financial gain.

3. There is a clear demonstration of efficiency to such an extent that they built hospitals in a few days. To build so many hospitals they had to be prepared with organized projects, for example, with the ordering of equipment, the hiring of labor, the water and sewerage network, the prefabricated building materials and the storage in an impressive volume. Everything happened so fast that everyone was speechless.

4. They caused chaos in the world, beginning with Europe and the rest of the western worlds.

5. Quickly decimating the economies of dozens of countries.

6. Stop production and manufacturing lines in factories and primary production in dozens of countries.

7. Causing the stock markets to crash and then they bought stocks, bonds and companies at bargain prices.

8. They then quickly gained control of the epidemic in their country. After all, they were ready and he was never really out of control.

9. In all this, they managed to lower the price of basic products, including the price of oil.

10. Now they are going back to mass production while the rest of the world is stopped.

Some is true, some is probably not. Don't believe anyone, even China, has an "antidote". And it's not that surprising they locked down so quickly and built hospitals with their previous experiences with SARS and other viruses.

Definitely seems that China has so far benefited the most from this virus tho. And they stopped that doctor from warning people right at the start. How many lives will that action by the Chinese government have cost the rest of the world when this is over?

Seems to effect minority groups disproportionately as well. Saw on news yesterday they're warning that Black and Asian care workers could be at greater risk.

I think it came from nature and may of walked out the lab on someone’s shoe

in regards the Spanish flu we are 4 months in god knows what the death rate will be in another 12 months

I think they immediately imposed a very strict and area specific lockdown.

The americans seem to be serious about the possibility of it having accidentally escaped from the lab in wuhan. @Crewella posted a washington post article in the other thread, about alerts about lax safety standards. They’ve been experimenting in there with bat coronaviruses, that is known.

Maybe she could post it here, it’s quite relevant. I got carried away for a couple of days reading the comments.
