Hi all,

Just wanted to know what peoples preferred dilution liquid is for diluting VG. I heard ionized water was the way to go? I buy my VG from Boots for cheapy cheapies so just need to find the right method for diluting it. I use tap water fo my last bottle but this is supposed to be a bad thing? why?

If it does have to be ionized water is there a shop that will do it for me to pick up?

Thanks all.

De-ionised water or Distilled water can be picked up from tesco or Halfords.

You can use wee amounts of decent vodka as well.

Pan of boiling water with the lid on, remove the lid every couple of minutes and let the steam off the lid trickle into droplets.
Collect the droplets, distilled water.

As long as you've cleaned said pan and lid......

If you're making small amounts make your own Distilled water by boiling the kettle with the lid open with a plate or similar over the top of it and catch the drops..

I can't remember the reasoning behind it but I believe it's Distilled you want to be using.

What's the reason you're adding water?

Thanks guys for the tips.

Because I have 100% VG so I just thought it had to be diluted??

What ratio of dilutant per 100ml of pure VG do you guys use? and is using tap water really that bad?

Thanks

Tap water has all kinds of crap in it that can affect your juice.

Who told you to dilute the VG? The concentrates are mostly PG based so that dilutes. Ok some people do use 3-5% Vodka or Distilled water, but if you're using a dripper there seems to be no need.

I don't use a dripper buddy I have a subtank and a kayfun lite plus that me and the mrs swap every now and again. I make my own e liquids and before I was paying extra for pre diluted VG. So now I am buying striaght up 100% VG I thought i had to be diluted to use ...

Ah hah. Aye, ~100% VG don't work in tanks.

Again, I thought PG was the dilutant for tank juice? So, going by the research I've done the last wee while 4-7% chosen dilutant in the VG, any higher and it can get interesting apparently.

Some places do sell pre-diluted VG, AG it's called.
